Investigation of a modified gravitational theory as applied to galaxy rotation curves, x-ray mass profiles of clusters without non-baryonic dark matter. The implications of the modified gravitational theory for a quantum gravity formalism, based on a renormalization group flow scenario of quantum gravity that is non-perturbatively renormalizable. Application of the theory to cosmology. Study of cosmological models to explain the nature of dark energy and the acceleration of the expansion of the universe. Study the problem of vacuum energy and the cosmological constant problem and its connection to quantum field theory and quantum gravity theory.
