We are requesting funding to conduct an experimental work on evaluation of activity of selected heterogeneous catalysts in degradation of air pollutants using ozone as oxidation agent. A local Canadian company that works on manufacturing air conditioning systems is our industrial partner for the first time. The results of this work will be used to evaluate potentials and limitations of using low temperature air treatment systems based on catalytic ozonation in industrial air conditioning systems. This will contribute to improving air quality and reducing energy consumption of air conditioning units.
