Revitalization of a plant growth chamber facility

The 'Institut de recherche en biologie végétale' (IRBV, Plant Biology Research Institute) is a major player in plant science research on the national and international stage, in academic training, and in scientific outreach activities. The research activities at the IRBV are focused on (i) the cellular mechanisms of development and plant-defenses against adverse environments and pests, (ii) the biodiversity and evolution of flowering plants and (iii) the ecology and management of ecosystems in populated areas. In the course of our research activities, we need to grow a large selection of plant species under controlled conditions. A growth chamber is the ideal apparatus to achieve continuous optimum climatic conditions for plant growth and reproduction, reproducibility of experimental set-ups, as well as for the prevention of plant and pest diseases.
