Fluorescence stereomicroscopes are essential tools for modern analysis of the nematode C.elegans. It allows the selection, maintenance and manipulation of transgenic strains harboring fluorescence-tagged transgenes. These microscopes are part of worm laboratories and necessary both for reagent production as well as data collecting. The current application requests funds for the purchase of a basic stereomicroscope equipped with an UV light source and filter set. At this stage we do not require the extra costs involved in adding imaging capability to this equipment.
