The proposed statistical research is applicable to the design and analysis of studies in industry and health research. As a result of extensive past and planned collaborative efforts, specific statistical issues have been identified and will be studied. The current research proposal builds upon research accomplishments that have been disseminated in peer-reviewed publications in or manuscripts submitted to journals such as Statistics in Medicine, Lifetime Data Analysis, Journal of Applied Statistics and Clinical Trials.
