G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are receptors expressed on the cell surface, responsible for the transduction of signals between the extra- and intracellular environments. GPCRs represent the largest drug target family, associated with 30-40% of drugs. Currently, the rational design of new ligands for GPCRs is hampered by the poor structural understanding of ligand-receptor interactions.
