The mission of my lab is to develop innovative models to gain a better understanding of heat transfer mechanisms and to develop optimization methods to better design and control heat transfer systems. The long-term outcome of my work effort is to enhance the energy efficiency and overall level of performance of thermal systems, while decreasing their costs and environmental impacts. I propose 3 areas of research on which I particularly plan to devote time:
