BioVision Technology Enterprise is a Canadian company looking to convert biomass (e.g. hardwoods, straws) into nanocellulose. Nanocrystalline cellulose is obtained from renewable sources, like wood for example. This research will investigate the properties of nanocrystalline cellulose produced by Biovision Technologies. BioVision is in the process of establishing a platform to mass-produce a highly pure and unique second-generation nanocrystalline cellulose (carboxylated NCC), trade marked as NanocelTM.
