There is a need for a context preserving, high-speed method for compressing video feeds for delivery over multiple network channels with varying quality of service capabilities. It is an important element to maintain the context (meaning) of the video feeds, yet minimize the impact of bandwidth usage on their overall communications platform. The main goal of this project is build off of previous work in context preserving frame extraction for structure from motion and adapt the technology to the specific requirements for video transmission for security solutions. It is expected that this research will become a foundational part of the video transmission and security analysis software.
