Point-of-use (POU) water treatment is an important and rapidly growing segment of the water treatment markets. While in many cases municipal water supplies are safe, there are many areas where the water is not reliably safe or is untreated. As well, many consumers are concerned about quality, taste and/or perceived safety of their water supplies. Furthermore, in many applications, higher standards are required than delivered from source and additional on-site treatment is needed. Effective solutions are thus in demand for many POU applications.
