英文摘要
The objective of this Engage project is to develop an autonomous wireless wildlife telemetry system that can be deployed in a flexible and cost-effective manner, for tracking bee pollination patterns and activity.. The supporting company Sigma-eight Inc. (SEI), specializes in producing equipment for wildlife radio tracking. The specific project development becomes challenging due to the tiny size of the transmitter that will be placed on bees, which in turn presents limitations in energy requirements and availability. In particular , the transmitted/received signal will be quite weak and will be on for a very short period of time, i.e., pulsed for about 2-5ms every few seconds. Also, tracking must be done real time.
