CANAM Group is the largest North American manufacturer of steel components for the construction industry. For over 50 years, the Corporation has specialized in the design and fabrication of customized construction products and solutions. Over the years, CANAM has developed various structural systems for construction applications. Composite slab/flooring system known as fast track construction with CANAM profiled steel deck and regular concrete topping is very popular. However, company is facing problems with regular concrete based composite floors such as: inadequate steel-concrete shear bond leading to brittle failure and poor durability. Company is currently seeking to develop a new high performance composite flooring system with CANAM profiled steel decks incorporating emerging cost-effective highly flowable engineered concretes
