Lafarge Canada Inc. is Canada's largest provider of solutions to the construction and development industry. Company's mission is to provide construction solutions that build better cities and communities. Lafarge has been a leader in innovation. Lafarge's innovation approach covers the entire value chain, at every level: materials (cement, concrete, aggregates) and building systems. Over the decades, Lafarge has contributed to the development and marketization of many popular cement and concrete based products. Company has more than 45 years of slag (an industrial waste) processing experience in North America and markets over one million tonnes annually. Lafarge also produces lightweight slag aggregates -35% lighter than natural aggregates. Lightweight self-consolidating concrete (LWSCC) is one of the latest innovations in concrete technology.
