The goal of this project is to demonstrate the commercial potential of a membrane evaporative cooling technology developed at the University of Ottawa for personal cooling applications. Pending the successful demonstration of this technology, we will license it to a leading manufacturer of personal cooling technologies. The demonstration will involve integrating the technology into a commercially available personal cooling system used with Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD) bomb suits, in order to demonstrate improved performance, particularly in hot environments where the efficiency of similar technologies are greatly reduced and/or limited.
