英文摘要
This Engage Grant is a first step towards developing a new platform technology to provide integrated inertial sensors to wearable devices. The design objective is satisfy size and cost requirements while maintaining adequate sensor performance suitable for consumer applications. Currently, inertial sensors are dominated by a few large corporations, however, the size/performance can be further optimized for smaller wearable devices. Sebnet and its partner companies have a smart watch product on the market and Sebnet has plans to expand the functionality to include pressure sensing and further reduce the size of the sensor package to its smart watches. Possible integration of accelerometers with pressure sensors is desirable.
