Ingle International provides proprietary content involving information in the area of health, security and risk assessment designed to protect an individual at home and abroad. The content includes symptoms of disease, health assessment results, terrorist incidents, weather, travel advisories to an escape route of a building, etc. The content is delivered to an individual in several manners including mobile applications to provide breaking information to subscribers. The proprietary content has involved manual extraction from internet sources such as social media sites which are then aggregated into the format desired by the company. The Ingle content data format is well defined but the information source sites/feeds involve differing formats and internet page address locations that may change over time. Currently, the users have to manually extract the content, format, massage and aggregate them into the desired format. The research proposes to develop an algorithm that automatically extracts the data from web sites by matching the user's actions/interest and, following rules for processing, modify the data into the desired content format. Potential changes in website/feed layouts and locations requires learning algorithms that can adapt to these changes when searching for the target content. Benefits to Ingle International are in providing a fast, intuitive service that enhances the user's experience. This Canadian business looks to build its suite of products for both the domestic and international markets. For Canadians, the products will improve health and safety security when traveling abroad as well as encourage reductions in insurance premiums to clients using the products.
