To develop a cost-effective, ex-situ soil remediation system based on low energy consuming photocatalysis and thermal desorption, Trium Environmental Inc and the University of Calgary have formed a collaborative research and development relationship. The collaborations will benefit both the company and the University of Calgary through advancements in the alternative ex-situ soil remediation technique using photocatalysis and thermal desorption. The outcomes may open new doors to potential customers who require remediating hydrocarbon-contaminated soils, especially near pipelines and storage tanks.
