Development of an animated geometry testing and adaptive learning platform for online math competitions

Caribou Contests Inc. creates and organizes worldwide online mathematics competitions for youths in grades 3-12. These contests feature interactive gameplay type problems that are designed to engage students in math competition. Participating schools host Caribou Contests six times during the school year by purchasing a school-wide-pass or on an individual student basis. To help students prepare for these tests, supporting educational resources (video tutorials, lessons, and all previous tests) are provided free of charge through the Caribou Contests website (https://www.cariboutests.com). In order to keep up-to-date with developing technologies and expand our customer base, we are collaborating with Dr. Michael Winter in the department of Computer Science at Brock University, to design novel, interactive mathematics problems and online course content that will excite young minds.
