This project investigates the design of a game accessibility device for the disabled gamers with motor impairments. This device would provide hands free accessibility to all gamers, but in particular to those with physical limitations to control the two joystick controller using motion tracking of a specially designed head unit. In addition, rapid speech recognition (RSR) will be utilized for accessing the remaining controls found common in gaming controller. This device has three parts: Head Unit, Enclosure and Image sensors. The head unit contains two light indicators for tracking the head movement of the gamer and the image sensors capture the motion of the indicators. The enclosure has two parts, first part would be a human interface which would collect motion and speech data, and the second part would be a machine interface, where all the interpreted data would be sent to the game system (or personal desktop computer) via USB communication.
