The high potential value that corporate wellness programs offers, both for both employees and companies, are pushing the need for new approaches to wellness program management. Worksite wellness programs often engage the already-active employee and struggle to engage the average employee who has high insurance utilization. Often, employees report that the biggest barriers are lack of time, lack of motivation and lack of energy. Thus, wellness portals need to be personalized, easy to use and engaging, in order to ensure that usage does not dwindle over time. This project concerns the creation of a personalized user profiling system to address these issues, by providing the users of online wellness programs both with the content and the motivation that matches their evolving needs, goals, preferences, and behaviours.
