In the proposed work we will develop monoclonal antibodies against dominant antigens of Francisella species. The antibodies can be used in immunofluorescence and Western immunoblots in research activities, and in ELISA and other methodologies for clinical diagnostics. The antibodies that will be developed will have broad reactivity with several Francisella species and will have value in studying both human and animal pathogenic species.
