Multimodal attention and interest estimation for personalized digital out-of-home advertising systems

The objective of this collaborative project is to develop methods for the real-time estimation of interest and attention of consumers observing ads through a digital signage system. This allows the signage system to respond by displaying ads that mostly appeal to the audience. These methods will be integrated into ADitude Media's flagship ad signage product to increase ad personalization. Furthermore, the research output can be applied to other applications where real-time and continuous assessment of interest and attention is beneficial (e.g. classroom, user interface software evaluation, television program recommender system etc...).
