Modern Engineering is a fully automated, CNC Machining company based in DELTA, BC. Most of its machinery is made up of the state-of-the-art computer numerical controlled (CNC) machining centers. They serve a wide variety of industries, both Canadian and USA based. Majority of parts machined in the facility are of very tight tolerances and intricate shapes. They are experiencing machining vibrations (chatter), which causes reduced product quality and loss of process efficiency. Modern Engineering hopes to establish a working relationship with the UBC's Manufacturing Automation Laboratory with a goal of reducing / eliminating the process deficiencies listed above.
