英文摘要
SFU's Innovation Office helps SFU innovators assess the patentability and market potential of new technologies and research innovations. The goal is to transfer this knowledge for the benefit of our communities, society and the economy. The Innovation Office's services include confidential invention disclosures, technology assessments, patentability reviews, market assessments, intellectual property protection and commercialization assistance. The Britton Group and SFU focuses on research for the development of concise and stereoselective synthetic methods and strategies that permit rapid access to biologically important natural products and drugs. Recently, the Britton group has developed several convenient strategies to incorporate a fluorine atom into a molecule that has potentially useful biological activity. This discovery has formed the basis of several productive collaborations and has created new opportunities for drug discovery and molecular diagnostics using 18F positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. SFU's Innovation Office has contacted Adventus Research + Consulting to request a market study of a technology titled "Fluorinated Amino Acids as PET Radiotracers for Central Nervous System (CNS) Imaging and Therapeutic Applications".
