Quantum dot qubits represent a promising approach for quantum computing. They require a variety of controlsignals, demanding complex instrumentation even for few qubits. A scalable platform with synchronized,programmable arbitrary waveform generators and digitizers is an appropriate solution to carry the nextgeneration of multi-qubit experiments. Moreover, real time processing capability of Field Programmable Arrayopens up new calibration and measurement possibilities in quantum dots. The proposed research merges thequantum dot expertise of Institut Quantique of Université de Sherbrooke with the specialized electronicsknowhow of Keysight Technology to develop dedicated and scalable quantum dot qubits instrumentation. Thedeliverables of this Engage collaboration are (i) a report providing solutions for bridging the technological gapsbetween Keysight instrumentation and Institut quantique's quantum dots, and (ii) a multi-channel lock-inamplifier built into Keysight's Quantum Computer Research Toolkit. Interaction with Keysight R&D staff willprovide unique opportunities for students to gain exposure to one of the largest multi-technological firms in theworld. The proposed research is an opportunity for Keysight to establish itself as the instrumentation standardfor quantum dots qubits, as the technology scales up in complexity.
