Workplace bonuses are commonplace in firms today. However, sometimes bonuses are not aligned with thefirm, meaning what is best for the worker is not necessarily best for the firm. In this research proposal we teamup with our industry partner to determine optimal bonus/incentive schemes for the firm so as to maximizeworker effort and firm profit, while maintaining worker happiness and keeping all incentives aligned. Theexpected results of this study are more productive employees, better compensated for their work, and a moreprofitable firm.
