New integral transform techniques for computer algebra

To meetthis need, Maplesoft, based in Waterloo, Ontario, produces Maple, a mathematical and numerical programminglanguage that is one of the leading mathematical software platforms worldwide. It is used internationally forresearch in industry and academia, as well as an educational tool.Recent research by Prof. Achim Kempf at the University of Waterloo (and his collaborators) has yielded apowerful new integration technique. The new methods allow one to reduce large classes of integrals tosuccessive differentiations. This provides powerful new methods since, in contrast to prior methods,differentiations are very suitable for implementation in a computer algorithm. Implementing this new methodin the Maple software engine will greatly increase the speed of computation, enlarge the library of integralscomputable with Maple, and provide powerful new Canadian-made tools for engineers and scientistsworldwide.
