Think Tank Innovations Ltd is a Canadian company focused on bringing innovative technological solutions forhealthcare.The company is interested in expanding the Sharesmart application which is their current workingenvironment. To do this they will engage the expertise a researcher at the University of Calgary whoseexpertise is advanced technology solutions and sophisticated computing techniques. The researcher will assistin developing and providing an integrated environment for healthcare solutions. This will cover the followingcomponents: 1) an integrated data management platform to handle all data related aspects for the ShareSmartapplication from collection to storage and processing for knowledge discovery leading to informative decisionmaking and guidance, 2) a Web-based platform that interacts with the ShareSmart Mobile App and theShareSmart Web Admin Portal that is secure, encrypted and follows best practice considerations in healthinformation privacy management and electronic medical records (EMR) protocols, 3) an intelligent mobile appand alongside a Web-based forum to assess user interaction with the ShareSmart app, and 4) a multi-lingualcommunication environment. Currently the company supports English and French but they plan to expand theircoverage to other languages, which will be incrementally integrated and adapted into the environment,benefiting from the multicultural presence in the University of Calgary researchers research group.
