英文摘要
Rehabilitation technology helps restore the abilities of people who have lost physical, sensory, and cognitive capacity through injury or illness. My research will solidify machine intelligence as a platform for assistance and rehabilitation. For maximum benefit, rehabilitation devices must be able to learn about and adapt to complex changes in a user and their environment. I will develop and translate new computing methods that allow devices such as prosthetic limbs to intelligently adapt, collaborate, and improve during daily use. The result will be enhanced quality of life for rehabilitation patients and greater clinical impact for next-generation rehabilitation devices.
