The inspection of storage tank bottom is a costly endeavor with current technologies. In order to perform the**inspection, the tank currently needs to be emptied and scanned using a magnetic-flux leakage scanning system.**The main drawbacks of the current method is the cost associated with emptying the tank and the cost of the**equipment and training required. This project will investigate the feasibility of using ultrasonic guided waves**for thickness mapping from a transduction position on the annular chime of the tank. Two methods will be**evaluated: (1) high order mode cluster and (2) high order shear horizontal wave structural filtering.
