Technological advances have resulted in increased interest and feasibility in sport monitoring. Sensor systems can provide data during training, practice, and competition, which can enable a deeper understanding that can benefit athletes and coaches, improve performance, assess skill, and reduce injuries. TritonWear Inc. is a Canadian company that provides accurate metrics and analytics tools to enable data-driven competitive swimming. The TritonWear system consists of the Triton Unit, a wearable device that collects and interprets data from an inertial measurement unit (IMU), and the Triton Connect, which communicates the data wirelessly to a tablet (e.g., iPad) running the TritonWear Live app. Both Live and the web portal, TritonWear Insights, allows one to view and analyze metrics such as stroke type, stroke rate, and turns. TritonWear is used worldwide, including the national teams of Canada, France, Switzerland, Australia, and England.**** Parasport has been gaining increased research attention. Para ice hockey, commonly known as sledge hockey, is one of the most popular Winter Paralympic games. TritonWear has interest in expanding their portfolio into other sports. Para ice hockey appears to be an excellent fit with distinct accelerations that can be associated with each propulsion stroke. TritonWear's current data acquisition system should have the capability to derive valuable metrics including stroke count, stroke rate, turns count, and turns duration. The objective of this research is to explore the feasibility of the TritonWear system to provide accurate, robust metrics in para ice hockey, with the long-term goal of developing a para ice hockey monitoring solution that can provide metrics during training, practice, and matches, which can provide valuable insights for coaching, athlete development and training, and injury prevention**
