Evaluating the impact of multiple stressors on aquatic ecosystems often requires interdisciplinary research approaches coupled with robust biodiversity estimates. The general objectives of the proposed project are to 1) develop genomic tools that will allow accurate monitoring of biodiversity the close collaboration with end users; 2) evaluate the ecological and genetic responses of aquatic communities to environmental stressors. Using an unique combination of experimental ecology and environmental genomics and state-of-the-art facilities my research group will investigate the ramifications of multiple stressors on the structural and functional attributes of aquatic ecosystems at a previously unattainable level of detail, control and replication. *
