We propose to develop methods of detecting and predicting membrane-fouling in water treatment plants. **To achieve our goal, we propose to employ ensemble Neural Networks which incorporate post training regularization and hence can generalize well when trained using a sparse set of exemplars.**Our approach will complement and enhance methodologies developed by Pani Energy and will contribute to making the operation of such plants more energy efficient and less costly. This in turn will ensure the viability of the operation of such plants in under-developed areas of the world where pollution and drought are endemic. **
