Mannarino Systems & Software Inc. (MANNARINO) is a Montreal-based company that has recently started research and development on an embedded software product. The embedded software will be a product family that shall evolve along product lines (customer customizations, target hardware platforms), be highly configurable and compliant with standard interfaces in the aerospace industry. MANNARINO is currently developing and testing a prototype of that embedded software, and as the project progresses, tests will have to involve more features, more target processors (emulation, hardware, and more configurations). There is thus a need for a testing environment able to handle that kind of complexity and providing high automation levels, at least initially, for test execution and evaluation. At the end of the project, there should be a coherent testing environment that supports continuous integration and testing of the embedded software and addresses specificities inherent to a product family features and variations. Overall, the project aims at significantly reducing time and (human) resources allocated to testing activities related to the development of the embedded software.**
