Our research group studies the behaviour of wild birds, including topics such as ecoimmunology, orientation and navigation, timing of reproduction, timing of migration, and food-storing and social interactions. Our field sites include the Queen's University Biological Station, field locations in Southwestern Ontario, and Algonquin Park. A necessary component of our research is transporting graduate student and postdoctoral trainees to and from field locations. We need a cost-effective vehicle with SUV/Cross-over capabilities to transport HQP and field research equipment. This vehicle will be used year-round, for studies of spring and fall migration, spring/summer breeding and juvenile dispersal, and winter food-storing and social behaviour within flocks.
