This is a request for a new vehicle to support the field research of our two research teams in evolutionary ecology. The requested field vehicle is a critical tool to possess for every current and future aspects of our research. Indeed, the main difficulty to reach the general short and long term objectives of our research programs and thus to stay competitive at an international scientific level is to gather the best possible biological data. More specifically, every projects that we are involved with, or will be involved within the next five years, rely on collecting large samples of biological and ecological data in different study systems, often over large geographic area. The field vehicle requested will help our research by providing a reliable, safe and economic mean of transportation. It will play a key role by greatly improving the quality of, and time to get, the data required for our research program to be successful. It is thus an essential piece of equipment for the training of highly qualified personnel. In simple terms, our research will be totally functional with the acquisition of this equipment.
