英文摘要
This project proposes innovative converter technologies and connected powered telecommunication backbone to enable real-world deployment of the Internet of Things (IoT) integration for electric vehicles. InMotive, as an emerging pioneer in the world of electric car propulsion and transmission systems, will take on the issue of the sound integration of these cars with the society. The project will start with the smart grid as the main interface point with the overall system. Two research teams from the Royal Military College of Canada (led by Dr. Noureldin) and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (led by Dr. Youssef) will work together to develop the technology and address future IoT engineering models and adoption mechanisms. Applications of this project to build a test bed for a fully autonomous electric vehicle in Canada should be expanded in the future to include smart cities, smart grid, and transportation.
