The industrial partner, DroneXperts, is a service company specializing in the design, manufacture and operation of drones for environmental data collection. Recently, DroneXperts has been developing and operating embedded solutions for drone environmental monitoring. As such, the company has developed a drone air quality sampling system. DroneXperts wishes to enrich its offer and provide its customers with a solution for sampling surface water onboard drone. Such a solution would bring an undeniable advantage in the conduct of water quality sampling and monitoring campaigns in terms of speed of execution, positioning accuracy and safety, whether for conventional water bodies, reservoirs or water bodies that represent a danger (mining tributaries, contaminant spills, etc.). Professor Chokmani's team, as part of the activities of the Drone Environmental Remote Sensing (TED) laboratory, has been developing an automatic water sampling system on drone for two years. The objective of this research is therefore to integrate the sampling system developed by INRS into DroneXperts' drone technology and to evaluate its functionalities through laboratory and field tests.
