英文摘要
Flotation is a mineral separation technique in which air bubbles are used to trap and extract mineral particles from a slurry. It is an enabling technology that makes mining of low-grade and complex ores possible and thus underpins the success of the modern mining industry. This project pairs UBC researchers with Eriez Flotation Division for a complementary exchange of skills needed to help extend the range of EFD devices, allowing competition in both local and global markets. The specific devices are those designed for improved efficiency and reduced costs in separating fine particles.
