The proposed project intends to utilize path finding algorithms using image analysis as the base. The functionality will be imbedded in a software module within Clinisys Patient Portal or its mobile application version where patients can find appropriate landmark or destination room within large structures such as hospitals. This will help patients of all ages and in particular patients of old age and those with wheelchair access. The path finding algorithm will use information such as hospital architectural plans, and use a hybrid of traditional image analysis techniques as well as more recent deep learning based artificial intelligence techniques.
