This research program is aligned with the future directions highlighted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and fit well with Concordias Strategic Research Plan (SRP). The program builds on the current state of the art and develops applications in millimeter and sub-millimeter waves that are essential to the future fifth generation (5G) for wireless communication. It is essential to develop new applications related to the Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, wearable sensors for healthcare monitoring, security systems, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Therefore, learning, training, and developing expertise in these applications are the themes of this program.
