The urgent need for extending the lifetime of N95 masks had become a pressing matter for the Canadian Healthcare system. In this project, we will develop a fully integrated device that will allow for simultaneous disinfection of up to 20 N95 masks per hour while minimizing health risks to the operators and hospital personnel. This device grows from the expertise in photobiology & photomedicine of Dr. Alarcon and the development of innovative illumination and thermal devices by Luzchem Inc.
