The Data Visualization for the MGH Railcar Cloud Based Platform

Saskatchewan Polytechnic (SP) and MGH Railcar Services Limited (MGH) will collaborate on a data visualization problem that MGH needs to solve for their commercial product. MGH provides support for rail fleets. There are few companies competing in the railcar storage industry and most are based out of the United States. Canadian representation - and associated interests, requirements and needs - are not always fully met by these American companies. Companies that own railcars or have hired railcars often have numerous requirements that determine where best to store the railcars until they are needed. MGH and SP will work to solve the problem of how to effectively visualize optimized solutions encompassing the many variables involved in selecting appropriate storage sites for railcars while they wait to be used.
