9302204 Canada Inc. o/a Cheelcare is interested to extend the utility of their mobility platform beyond the wheelchair market. In particular, it looks to build a semi-autonomous system for rapid decontamination of public spaces and workplaces. Their UV-C Robot (UVR) combines UV-C techniques with their semi-autonomous mobility platform, which will provide a cost-effective solution for the rapid decontamination of work environments and may enable large-scale protocols for prevention and containment of outbreaks. Georgian College (Georgian) and Cheelcare are collaborating to conduct research to develop this decontamination system. The goal of the proposed research is to design a user-friendly interface that can program, transmit, record, and provide reports on decontamination routines.
