Prediction of daily urban water demand is vital for optimal management of the water infrastructure. With the advent of computational resources, advanced modeling solutions and user-friendly interface design, private and public infrastructure asset management teams, decision makers and technical operators can have access to state-of-the-art prediction solutions. The research project aims to develop urban water forecasting model for the City of Montreal, which will serve as the main component of a smart water management system designed to facilitate reservoir operations. The model will take into account weather analytics to improve the urban water demand forecasts.
