Canada Training Solutions (CTS) provides traditional and non-traditional training methods to teach pilots how to fly. The latest developments in traditional and non-traditional flight simulators, targeted cognitive training devices, bio-feedback tools, artificial intelligence, and other advancements all hold the potential to dramatically improve both the efficiency and effectiveness of pilot training. CTS is engaging Saskatchewan Polytechnic to develop a software platform that will change pilot training in non-military settings. CTS needs to build a research program to gather and analyze student flight data in order to present to government agencies the effectiveness of new approaches so that regulatory bodies can make informed changes to the pilot training requirements in Canada. This software platform will play an integral role in that research program as well as forming the base of a training solution to market. Saskatchewan Polytechnic will collaborate with CTS to develop the necessary software platform to achieve this goal.
