英文摘要
At the convergence of two burgeoning fields of research - two-dimensional (2D) materials and quantum science - 2D materials emerged as a solid-state platform with great potential for the development of next-generation quantum technologies. Dr. Luican-Mayer's research goal is to harness 2D material's unique properties to develop quantum devices. In this project, by collaborating with two international teams, her group will use microscopic techniques with atomic precision to deterministically pattern quantum defects and understand their electronic properties. Successful outputs of this work will provide the framework for developing novel platform for quantum sensing, communication, and computing, with great scientific and technological value for Canada.
