当前应用数学与其它相关学科交叉的研究十分活跃，本刊为之提供了一个优秀的交流平台。自2008年起本刊被SCI-E收录，获得了良好的发展机遇和很强的发展潜力，本刊的努力目标是成为国内一流和有一定国际影响力的学术期刊。为了达到这一目标，必须大力提高刊物的质量。为此需要改善从征收稿件、编委专家评审、编辑加工、出版发行等各个环节，包括采用全新的国际化办公系统，以使作者，读者和编者更好的互动；利用各种机会（如参加重要的学术活动）征集优质稿件；全面提高编辑的业务素质和能力，增加编辑交流学习的机会以适应期刊国际化的要求，并加强与Springer等国际大出版集团合作等。

There are very strong interactions between applied mathematics and other related scientific areas. Our journal provides an excellent platform for such academic exchanges. Our journal was accepted by SCI-E since 2008, which gives us a good opportunity to realize our potentials. We aim to become a first rate national mathematical journal which has a certain amount of international influences. To achieve this goal, we have to greatly improve the quality of our journal. That means we have to improve the sources of contributed papers, the refereeing process, the editorial works, subscriptions and other areas. Our journal has the need to acquire a modern international editorial system in our computers, which will greatly facilitate the interactions between the authors, the editors, the reviewers, and the readers of our journal. We will take every opportunity (such as the participation in high quality academic conferences) to get good papers. We will increase the quality and efficiency of our editorial works. Our editorial staff will take more parts in conferences for editors so as to be updated of the requirements of a good international journal. We will also increase our ties with prestigious international publishers such as the Springer.
