英文摘要
This award is for continuing support of an Earth and Environmental science journalism program at Columbia University. Students complete two semesters of course work in Earth and environmental sciences, a substantial science research project, two semesters of course work in journalism with an emphasis on science and environmental reporting, and a journalism masters project. This exemplary program has placed numerous well-trained science reporters in key media outlets around the country, and is having a major impact on increasing public awareness of Earth and environmental science issues.
