An empirical study of the role of socio-economic factors in the formation of health status

本研究的重点是社会经济地位，如职业、收入、教育成就、生活机会等是否会影响日本人的健康状况。在ICF或ICDH-2框架下，环境因素在人们健康形成过程中具有重要作用。在这些环境因素中，我们重点关注了SES。为了回答这个问题，我们做了两个研究。第一次是在2003年进行的，它的人口是一般人。样本量为3000人。第二次是在2004年进行的，调查对象是老年人。这类研究传统上采用的是职业地位变量，但在对以往研究的分析中，我们引入了社区、社会资本、感知健康能力量表等变量。我们可以发现，包括社会资本在内的社会经济变量在一定程度上影响着人们的健康状况。我们从社会网络、社会支持等方面对后一项研究进行了分析。我们可以发现社会网络在一定程度上影响老年人的身体状况。我们继续对这两项研究进行数据分析。

This study focuses on whether Social Economic Statuses such as occupation, income, educational achievement, life chances, and so on, affect the health status of people in Japan. In the framework of ICF, or ICDH-2,environmental factors have significant roles in the process of people's health formation. Among such environmental factors, we focused on SES. In order to answer this question, we made two researches. The first one was carried in 2003, and the population of it was general people. The sample size was 3,000. The second one was carried in 2004, and the population of it was older people. Traditionally occupational status has been used in this type of research, but, we introduce the variables of community, social capital, perceived health competence scale as well in the analysis of the former research. We could find that socio economic variables including social capital affected the people's health status at a certain level. We analyzed the latter research in terms of social network, social support and so on. And we could find social network affected physical status of older people at certain level. We continue data analysis on these two researches.
